Nocturne Packaging
Luxury you can feel before you open it.
Overview
Nocturne is an independent fragrance house launching their first unisex line. They needed packaging that communicated luxury without relying on the usual gold-foil-and-serif playbook. I designed the complete packaging system — bottle, box, and shipping experience — and produced all product visualization renders in Blender for their e-commerce launch.

The Brief
The founder's exact words were: 'I want someone to pick this up and know it costs more than they expected, but feel like it's worth it.' That's a specific emotional engineering problem. Luxury signaling without ostentation. Weight without heaviness. The material choices had to do the talking, not the typography.
Material Strategy
The bottle is matte black ceramic with a single debossed wordmark — no label, no print. The box is uncoated black stock with a magnetic closure and a single line of blind-embossed text. Every tactile decision was designed to slow the unboxing down. Luxury is measured in the seconds between opening and using.
Visualization
Since physical prototypes were six weeks out, I built the entire product line in Blender with physically-accurate materials. The renders were realistic enough to launch the pre-order campaign, generating $84K in revenue before a single physical unit existed.
