Overview

Solstice started as a question: what if an app's interface was itself the therapy? Most wellness products bury their actual value under notification prompts and engagement loops. Solstice inverts this — every interaction is designed to be the last one for a while.

Digital wellness products are structurally broken. They optimize for daily active users at the expense of the outcome they claim to support. Solstice was an attempt to design a product with a genuinely different success metric: one that rewards itself by being used less over time.
